April 24: IndyFuture, Mass Transit Flash Collaboration at the Statehouse
Where: Indiana Statehouse, Atrium (200 West Washington Street, Indianapolis)
When: Wednesday, April 24, at 11 a.m.
What: Young professionals will rally to demonstrate why they want mass transit. A live performance art piece that will be built by Big Car and Herron’s Active Student Artists in 45 minutes on the floor of the Statehouse.

April 17: Indy Connect Now Forum
Where:
The Children’s Museum (3000 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis)
When: Wednesday, April 17, registration begins at 6 p.m. with the program at 6:30 p.m.
What: Ron Gifford, executive director of Indy Connect Now, will join community leaders to discuss central Indiana’s need for a modern transit system. Michael McKillip, executive director of Midtown Indianapolis, Inc., and Leigh Evans, executive director of Mapleton Fall Creek Development Corporation will share how expanded transit service will spur new growth in the local area. Questions from the public will be addressed about the Indy Connect plan and the current legislation that may allow for a transit referendum.

April 15: Northeast Side Transit Forum
Where: St. Matthews Catholic Church (4100 East 56th Street, Indianapolis)
When: Monday, April 15, at 7 p.m.
What: Binford Redevelopment and Growth (BRAG) and Millersville Fall Creek Valley will host a Northeast Side Transit Forum to discuss the impact the Indy Connect plan would have on workers and residents on Indy’s northeast side.

April 9: Green Drinks Indy Transit Happy Hour
Where: Tomlinson Tap Room in City Market (222 East Market Street, Indianapolis)
When: Tuesday, April 9, at 6 p.m.
What: Enjoy a local brew while mingling with transit advocates. Learn more about the efforts to improve central Indiana’s transit system, and how you can get involved. Officials from Indiana Citizens’ Alliance for Transit (ICAT) will be in attendance to answer questions.

Legislation that could lead to a better mass transit system for Hamilton County and Indianapolis is moving forward in the Indiana Statehouse. Indy Connect wants to hear from Hoosiers. Plans for the Red, Blue, and Green Rapid Transit Lines. Your opinions are needed on routing, vehicles, station locations, and features. Launch Fishers, 7 Launch Way (off Municipal Drive in Fishers)
12 p.m. - 1 p.m.
Business leaders and community residents from Fishers will be talking about the Indy Connect plan with Indy Connect Now Executive Director Ron Gifford. Hosted by Launch Fishers and atFishers.com publisher Tom Britt, the open community forum will be streamed live on the web at Townepost.tv. While this event is not a "mass transit rally," any transit advocates from Fishers is encouraged to attend and show support.

Public Hearing on HB 1011
3:30 p.m. at the Indiana Statehouse
The Indiana General Assembly House Roads & Transportation Committee will discuss the HB 1011, which would allow for a referendum that would give voters in Marion and Hamilton Counties the opportunity to vote for funding for the Indy Connect plan.
